EPD launches the Independent Review of Afghanistan 1395 National Budget Draft

The EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) launched the Independent Review of Afghanistan 1395 National Budget Draft on 16th December, 2015 in a ceremony which was attended by representatives of civil society, media and government officials. Estimating the Cost of Violent Extremism in Afghanistan – Report Launch

At this critical juncture for Afghanistan, EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) launched a groundbreaking report on the The Cost of Conflict and Violent Extremism in Afghanistan on the 19th of October in Kabul with national media, civil society representatives and government officials attending. Training on Financial and Economic Costs of Violent Extremism

EPD held a 4-day training on 24th to 27th of August, 2015 in Kabul for the provincial coordinators. After being trained, they in turn facilitated the 3-day training of “Introducing Advocacy Toolkit” for PWN and ACTA members in the 7 provinces in mid-September 2015. These trainings aimed to illustrate the financial costs of violent extremism in Afghanistan at local, provincial and national levels and provide PWN and ACTA members with the tools to conduct their advocacy activities. Afghan Women’s Roadmap for Peace Final Report Launched

Following on from EPD’s very successful conference in May 2015, we are now proud to present the final report, Afghan Women’s Roadmap for Peace Entering the Transformation Decade. This report assesses the past and present role of Afghan women within the peace process, provides a summary of activities during the conference, and culminates in the Ten Key Areas of Concern for Afghan Women, formulated by the conference participants.
