Afghan Women’s Forum
Activities
EQUALITY for Peace and Development organized a forum in Kabul where more than 250 women from all around the country participated to discuss and decide what women’s role should be in the National Consultative Peace Jirga. The participants interacted with government officials and produced a statement at the end of the conference.
Outcome
As a result, the government allocated more than 380 seats for women at National Consultative Peace Jirga held on June 2010.
