The service delivery has not improved to the level to meet the expectations of the citizens, and they are not accessible to citizens who live in remote provinces. In order to help the target groups to acquire the skills to perform monitoring of service delivery and demand transparency, EPD conducted trainings on good governance, combating corruption, national budget and monitoring of public service delivery to 450 women and youth from Kabul (Bagrami District), Nangarhar (Behsood and Kama Districts), Herat (Enjeel and Ghooryan Districts), Bamyan (Panjab and Shebar Districts), Kunduz, Faryab, and Kandahar. The trainings provided the participants with knowledge and tools to mobilize and monitor the public service delivery. Through this project, a Community Based Monitoring Mechanism was established in each area where the trainings were conducted.
