EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) organized an interactive public gathering event with female parliamentary candidates and women from Kabul. The aim was to provide women with sufficient information about their right to vote and the responsibilities of MPs towards their constituency. This event took place two days before the parliamentary elections.
Outcome
At the end of the program, the participants were asked for their feedback. Most of them stated that this program informed them about their voting rights and MPs’ accountability towards their constituency.
