Trialogue Exchange Between Female Parliamentarians from Afghanistan, India and Pakistan

EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) arranged an exchange program between female parliamentarians of Afghanistan, India and Pakistan, to learn from each other’s initiatives and share gender mainstreaming ideas. Furthermore, EPD arranged trainings for them on coalition building, raising awareness and advocacy.

Outcome

25 MPs were provided a trip to India where they received training in peace building, good governance and gender mainstreaming, visited the Planning Commission of India, the Ministry of Women and Child Development of India, and interacted with Indian experts on peace and transition processes. They subsequently utilized these tools in their respective Parliaments to address gender issues.
