Ms. Ruqaia Tabasum

Ruqaia Tabasum is working with EPD as the Program and Gender Specialist. Ms Tabasum has a PhD in human rights diplomacy and is currently leading program implementation and business development at Equality for Peace and Development in Afghanistan with main focus on gender rights, women in peace and security, women economic empowerment, education, peace process, IDPs, children and governance. Prior to this, She has worked with International organizations such as International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) and Jameel Poverty Action Lab, (JPAL), South Asia mostly focusing on gender related issues in India including reproductive health, women’s education, and child marriage. Ms Tabasum is fluent in kashmiri, Urdu, Hindi and  English.
