EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) organized community conversations with women from eight provinces to discuss their perspectives on security, militarization and corruption. The data was used for a research carried out by the Women’s Regional Network (WRN). This is a network of female civil society leaders from Afghanistan, India and Pakistan, who work together to ensure peace and security in the region by strengthening women’s rights in their respective countries.
The report was launched and disseminated at a conference at Kabul University with students, journalists, politicians, professors and other stakeholders attending. After a fruitful discussion, the audience engaged in discussions during lunch. In addition, the report has been published in English, Dari and Pashto and distributed via several websites amongst other WRN’s and EPD’s website.
