Work With Us

EQUALITY for Peace and Development (EPD) occasionally offers opportunities for regular staff positions, consultant positions and volunteer positions via the Afghans’ Coalition for Transparency and Accountability (ACTA) platform and Provincial Women’s Network (PWN) platform.

EPD is an equal opportunity employer. Selection criteria are formulated irrespective of sex, race, age, (dis)ability, religion, national origin or any other social status. Youth, women and physically challenged people are highly encouraged to apply.

Volunteering

Volunteers assist EPD’s activities and are indispensable for the well-functioning of EPD. Despite the fact that EPD volunteers do not receive any financial renumeration, they will highly benefit from working with experienced staff in a friendly work environment. They will also have the chance to build up their network by engaging with civil society organizations, policy makers, and international organizations. Volunteers are an integral part of the EPD team and are allowed to participate in meetings, conferences and workshops.

ACTA is a coalition of youth, women, community elders and religious leaders who are voluntarily advocating for transparency and accountability of policy-making and resource allocation processes. They also monitor the implementation of projects and the quality of service delivery in their respective communities. ACTA has so far been established in Kabul, Nangarhar, Bamyan and Herat.

EPD established the PWN platform in 2012 to bring women from different walks of life together. PWN facilitates networking, coalition building, women’s advancement monitoring and civic participation and carries out joint advocacy campaigns with a particular focus on the peace and transition processes. PWN has so fan been established in Kabul, Nangarhar, Bamyan, Herat, Kunduz, Faryab and Kandahar.

EPD demands full dedication, a commitment to transparency and accountability, and a willingness to engage in community activities to improve the quality of life of people in your respective community. The volunteers’ working hours are flexible. They can spend a few hours to half a day or more on community engagement and meetings. You can fill in the ACTA membership form here and the PWN membership form here.

EPD also offers internship opportunities which will be announced soon. Please check this page regularly.
