You can become a member of either platforms and assist EPD in serving Afghans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Afghans\u2019 Coalition for Transparency and Accountability (ACTA)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Founded by EPD in 2010, ACTA is a coalition of experts and community-based youth groups, women, elders and religious leaders who voluntarily promote transparency and accountability in the government\u2019s policy-making and resource allocation processes. While ACTA\u2019s Advisory Committee in Kabul reviews budget planning and execution at the national level, ACTA groups in the provinces monitor the implementation of projects and service delivery in their communities and hold them accountable. EPD establishes these networks, trains the members in anti-corruption, transparency, accountability, and community-based monitoring, and assists them in developing and implementing their advocacy and monitoring action plans. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ACTA is currently active in Kabul, Nangarhar, Bamyan and Herat. The members are committed to learn about the peace and transition processes in Afghanistan and their impact on women\u2019s lives, to promote peace in their communities, resolve conflicts, and monitor women\u2019s issues at the grassroots level. The networks also identify issues in their communities that are affecting women\u2019s advancement and address them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PWN is currently active in Nangarhar, Bamyan, Herat, Faryab and Kandahar.
