EPDO supports young leaders and civil society organisations to be actively engaged in addressing their and their community\u2019s needs by influencing policy and governance in the country. EPDO envisions Afghanistan as a country where young leaders, civil society organizations and activists can freely collaborate, building coalitions and networks to support vulnerable communities and uphold human rights and peace.<\/p>\n

We see one of the world\u2019s most complex emergencies in Afghanistan and the largest humanitarian crisis. The crisis is multi-layered, stemming from the decades-long conflict, political instability and frequent climate disasters that have resulted in forced migration, internal displacement, widespread poverty, acute food insecurity, mental health issues, unemployment and rising social tensions.
